Wearing a mask is essential during this pandemic as an effort to slow the spread of Covid-19. We need to wear a mask, especially when we are in a public place, to protect ourselves against the coronavirus that spreads through respiratory droplets.

If you develop breakouts due to wearing masks, then you are not alone. This condition is called Mask Acne or Maskne, which is a common side-effect of wearing masks.

When our pores are clogged with dirt and oil, it clogs and as a result – pimples! And if you wear a mask, dirt and oil can build up more and will cause skin problems.

Breathing in and out under a mask increases the temperature and humidity of your skin that is covered by the mask which will be the breeding ground for bacteria that’s why you have to continuously take care of your skin underneath the mask.

How can you keep your skin clean and clear?

Cleanser. Cleanse your face as often as you can even at work. Also, make sure that you clean your face before hitting the sack. When you rest, your skin repairs itself so that’s why you have to make sure that your face is clean before going to bed.

You want to avoid hard scrubs when you cleanse but you do want to exfoliate. Now, scrubbing and exfoliating are 2 different things. There are products that you can use to exfoliate like the Inez Elizabeth Beauty Brighten and Glow Cleanser.

Toner. After you cleanse, apply a toner. A toner helps banish blemishes and will keep your skin clear.

Serum. Use a serum to keep your skin supple and serum promotes skin healing like the Inez Elizabeth Beauty Clearly Smooth Acne Gel
