Our Process
At your appointment, our skincare specialist will first discuss your cosmetic goals. Do bring up any concerns or issues you may have with the facial. Based on the information you give they will make suggestions on the best facials suited for your skin type and condition.
Tell your esthetician about any allergies and use of prescription medications so they can make adjustments to provide you with an indulgent skincare experience.
Once you choose your facial, head to a clean treatment area with adequate privacy. Our friendly staff will make you comfortable and ensure that you are relaxed before beginning the treatment. Feel free to ask any questions about the process during the session.
If you feel discomfort or need to take a break, do not hesitate to inform your esthetician. They will adjust the session accordingly and ensure that you have a pleasant time.
There is no downtime involved in any of our facials, and you can resume your daily routine immediately afterward. Sessions can last anywhere between thirty minutes to ninety minutes, so make time in your schedule accordingly.
SMOOTH SKIN DERMAPLANE WITH MASK & STEAM
This innovative treatment gives you the combined benefits of dermaplaning and a traditional facial. In dermaplaning, your practitioner will use a special scalpel to scrape away the fine facial hair known as peach fuzz. This method of skin resurfacing helps eliminate the topmost layer of dead skin cells and excessive oil from your face to reveal the smooth radiant skin below.
Our comprehensive dermaplane facials, serving many clients across the areas of Summerville, SC & Ladson, SC (which are right outside of Charleston, SC and surrounding areas), involves the use of steam to open up the pores of your skin to make it more receptive to skincare products. LED FACIALS

PREPARING FOR A FACIAL
Irrespective of the facial you’ve chosen, it is essential to follow some basic guidelines when preparing for your appointment. At Carolina Eye Candy, we suggest that you do not use exfoliating agents for a minimum of five days ahead of your scheduled appointment.
Avoid waxing or threading for up to at least one week after the facial. On the day of your appointment, dress in comfortable clothes and prepare to relax while our expert skincare specialist takes care of you.
Keep away from exposure to direct sunlight and do not sign up for tanning sessions. Depending on the facial you want your esthetician may provide additional instructions on preparing for your appointment.
AFTERCARE TIPS
Taking some precautions after your facial can help ensure the results remain for a longer time. Wearing makeup soon after your facial is a strict no-no. You must wait for at least six hours before applying makeup though it is best if you can be makeup-free overnight.
It gives the pores on your face enough time to breathe and rejuvenate. Do not scratch or pick your face for at least 72 hours after the facial and steer clear of abrasive products such as face scrubs. Stay away from different sources of direct heat like saunas, hot tubs, and tanning beds.
Exposure to direct sunlight is not a good idea as your skin is likely to be raw and vulnerable immediately after a facial treatment. Do stay hydrated in the days after the facial and continue your regular beauty regimen if it involves cleansing, toning, and moisturizing.
