WHO IS AUTHORIZED TO OFFER EYEBROW AND EYELASH SERVICES IN SOUTH CAROLINA?
As a licensed Beauty Therapist (Esthetician, known by some) and employing other licensed estheticians in my business, this is a question I wanted to answer for the clients and potential clients of Carolina Eye Candy and also other businesses in South Carolina. In the state of South Carolina, the only authorized personnel to offer eyebrow waxing (or waxing of any kind) and eyelash services are licensed cosmetologists or licensed estheticians. Nail technicians are NOT licensed to perform these services.
In the Summerville and Charleston locations of Carolina Eye Candy, we pride ourselves in specializing in eyelash services and also offering facial waxing (and bikini waxing in the Summerville location), and all too often we have had clients for eyebrow waxing who have complained about the nail salon that removed too much of their eyebrow hair when waxing. I have had to inform these individuals that nail technicians are not properly educated, trained and licensed to provide the service. We have also had to remove horrible lashes that have been done at a nail salon.
