Charleston SC | Charlotte is not just a premiere destination wedding location, or an ideal place to move to. But to Elizabeth Jennings, owner of Carolina Eye Candy, it is her hometown. Born and raised in the West Ashley area of Charleston, SC, she has her roots embedded here. Growing up in and going to schools in downtown Charleston, and walking the streets of downtown Charleston as a kid, this town is a place of pride. Elizabeth’s maternal grandmother passed away on Valentine’s Day in 2013, and it was a sad day. Her grandmother lived a long life, and was always full of joy, so the funeral was not a grieving experience, but a celebration of life. So wanting to make a sad experience into one of celebration continually, she had a vision of creating a legacy in Charleston in the memory of her grandmother.

When Carolina Eye Candy was established in September 2008, she started solely in a room in a hair salon in West Ashley, offering eyelash extensions, and continuing her education to perfect her skills. Desiring to be closer to home, she from there moved to Summerville, SC. She had many clients who were in the Charleston area who traveled to see her for her master lash artistry. Also after the passing of her grandmother, it was as if Charleston was calling her back. So it was only right to bring those beauty roots back to Charleston. Wanting to have the best extension of herself there, she refined and fine-tuned her staff to have what Charleston needs there. Since that time, we have with the help of passionate licensed estheticians and lash stylists, created a culture of lash passion in Charleston for our beauty guests.
