In society we are bogged by the tabloids that exploit women (mostly celebrities) on the covers of their magazines. \u00a0You’ve seen them I am quite sure . . . They will photos of women living their daily lives, going makeup free and showing in blown-up graphic details under eye circles, wrinkles, and lax skin. \u00a0No one (man or woman) should feel humiliated by \u00a0someone because they are getting older. \u00a0But I must say getting older doesn’t mean you have to AGE. \u00a0Check out this interview with Charlize Theron<\/a> and get her take on getting older. \u00a0She says\u00a0\u201cI think, like many women, I was judgmental toward women as they aged,” she said. “Women, in our society, are compartmentalized so that we start to feel like we\u2019re cut flowers and after a while we will wilt. I realize now that\u2019s not the case — we can celebrate every age. That\u2019s my encouragement to 20 year olds who are terrified of getting older: Don\u2019t have a nervous breakdown and don\u2019t hit the Chardonnay too hard. Getting older is not that bad. [Laughs] Actually, I\u2019m a complete alcoholic, but, please, don\u2019t worry. [Laughs again]” \u00a0I love it!<\/p>\n

As a licensed beauty therapist, I believe that Aging and getting older are not one in the same. \u00a0We have no choice to get older as we live another year, but aging doesn’t have to be what it was perceived. \u00a0With proper nutrition, great professional skincare and proper at-home products and care regimens, you don’t have to look like you are in your 40s 50s or 60s when you are whatever age you are. \u00a0I have been blessed with good skin, but I must say that taking great care of my skin is key, and professional skincare is on the top of my list. \u00a0Sunscreen is my absolute aging prevention and I would not go a day without it. \u00a0Take care of yourself and your skin, and you can be a bad ass beautiful vixen no matter what your age.<\/p>\n
